Setesdalsbanen is a narrow gauge ( 1067 mm ) museum railway that runs on the 8 km long,
wild and scenic stretch between Grovane and Røyknes stations in Vennesla,Vest-Agder county.
The course was opened in 1896 between Kristiansand and Byglandsfjord. Just two years after the closure in 1962 opened Norway's first museum railway.
Since then you have been able to experience a living museum with over 100 years old steam locomotives, stylish wooden wagons, old station buildings and the smell of coal.
